My tube of Wurth brand silicone lubricating compound lists for
applications: Lubricating brake parts, weather stripping, trunk
seals, rubber bumpers, speedo cables, window channels, hood strips
and pads, rubber gaskets, fan and V-belts.
Directions are: Apply with a clean cloth, brush, sponge, or finger
(!). Use sparingly. Remove excess.
So, you probably already have some high temp silicone brake grease
that you can use. The techs at the dealers use this for the
weatherstrip squeaks.
