I am looking at getting my generator rebuilt, and found an alternator in a hot
rod catalogue that appears as an exact replica of the ca. 1966 generator
(albeit expensive).? Is this just a plug in item, or does the conversion
require further electrical modifications.? Also, I continuously read about the
"upgrade" to an alternator.? What are the benefits of an alternator over my
generator?
