Tony,
The 5.0 Motorsport sold came with the 50 oz. serpentine crank pulley and short
water pump.  From the block to the steering rack is 6.25 inches.  The crank
pulley is 5.25 inches, clears the rack by 1.o inch.  The water pump 
lines up with the pulley so what is left is to line up your alternator.  
The parts were apparently from the Ford Explorer of that era.
