I have a what looks to be a 7" Girling Booster . It has a V shaped bracket  
that bolts to the cast body of the booster and the R inside wheel well.  Page 
20 of brake section in Roots workshop Manual.

A quick look at my tbon shows no strap in the pictures.  

I am not sure how it is held in though.
