1. Aesthetics: In your opinion, what is the overall affect with the bar in?
In the few I have seen in pics (with the single bar), and which also applies
to MG's, etc., it makes the whole package look sportier.
2. Safety: Sunbeam Specialties clearly markets theirs as a "Show Bar".
However:
A. I was first smitten by Tigers about 40 years ago as a pre-teen. Found out
25 years later that owner indeed flipped his Tiger (walked away from the
incident).
B. Always in the back of our minds if/when a fulcrum pin might break (for
those who have not re-done them).
For those reasons, I suspect a show bar might offer some level of protection?
Maybe some initial impact relief before it folds? Sounds like yours has
forward bracing, offering a real level of protection.
3. Space: I used to put my kids on the "jump seats" and tool around the
neighborhood, staying off the busy streets (never got around to installing
rear seat belts as some have). They're too big now. So I have no concern about
cramping the rear space.
4. I have only used my tonneau cover once. What a pain to detach it from the
front pins.

For those reasons I have many times thought about acquiring/installing.

Reasons I have not:
1. I'm in Canada. Purchasing and shipping one would add up.
2. I'm in Canada. I've had to whip up the convertible top in a hurry more than
once. Haven't researched to ensure a show bar doesn't impeded the soft top or
hard top.
3. Keep thinking maybe I'll brave that tonneau cover again some day.

Curious about your response to the aesthetics q'n.

PS (Stephen W.: I hit Dale's site, but there's no Roll bar offered in the
parts list. Might not be offered any longer).

Gary.
(Presently packing to snowmobile for the day)!
