Tony,
I use a small flat tip screwdriver to install the rubber seal, instead of
trying to slide it. I put one edge of the rubber in the track and then pop in
the opposite edge and work my way along the track. There should also be holes
for a screw near each end of the seal to keep it from coming out, once it is
installed. I then trim it to length.
