Hi Andy, Functionally a 13 lb. cap is specified in the shop manual and that is 
what I use. I have a Stant 229 on my car. It is an 8 sided cap. If you want 
something more concours oriented, there is probably something equivalent for a 
early Mustang. Maybe a more traditional style two eared cap can be found by 
cross-referencing the Stant 229.
