Hi All

We had a fantastic day here at the Australian F1 GP on Sunday, what a day.
We had to get there really early at 6.30 am for our cars to get in, luckily
I'm only 5-10 min from the track. In all we had 27 Sunbeams with quite a few
making the trip from Sydney and Adelaide. Only 22 cars were required, so a
ballot was drawn with our tickets from a bucket and then we had to select
the windscreen labels with the drivers name on them from a covered deck. The
driver that you pulled out was yours.

Michael and I were both luck enough to have our names drawn out. Michael got
Pedro Dela Rosa and I scored well with Daniel Ricciardo the young Aussie
driver for Torro Rosso. I think in all we had like 3 or 4 driver briefings
where they told us the do's and don'ts. Very strict actually and it's run
like a military operation. Cars were inspected and checked, no cameras,
photo's, phones, no burnouts! Don't talk to the drivers, don't ask for
autographs unless they offer, don't wave to the crowd, don't look around,
stay close to the car in front, etc.

We then had to line up in the order they wanted and headed out to the main
straight level with the pits. After the F1 drivers group photo's they came
along to the cars and jumped into their allocated car, heading off around
the track. It was a bit daunting with what seemed to be 100+ photographers
standing around the cars and parting as we moved off. The response from the
crowd for the Aussie driver in his home GP was great. Back around to the
start finish line dropped the drivers off, still with a 100+ photographers
in the way, then back to the pits.

Excellent experience and would do it again. No doubt Michael will post some
photo's for everyone to look at. Hard to get good photo's of the drivers on
the parade as the FAI & F1 seem to have this tied up very well.
