I guess the grab handle wood pieces come in all different =
varieties=E2=80=A6I don=E2=80=99t know the measurements since =
it=E2=80=99s already back on the dash, but it was originally connected =
to the back of the original dash with two tacks; the same kind of tacks =
that held the leather wrap in place around the handle. If there was any =
glue between the dash and the piece, it must have been extremely light; =
once I got the tacks loose, the piece came right off.

" 1. Re: Wood Dash Grab Handle Retrofit (Allan Ballard)

Ron, you're welcome.

=20

Yes, 6 and 1/2" by 3/4".

=20

The ends are not cut square. They flare out a bit at the bottom."

=20

=20

I've less length, girth and zero flare... but I get the job done. (Not =
the first time this has been said btw...) Also don't have those screws, =
nor anything other than glue holding to dash.

=20

(6 3/8"L x 1/4"H x 3/4"*D)

=20

*The new dash, allows 3/4" D, but did not duplicate the slope / nor =
curve that the original had. Sanding both added wood and dash back to =
match. If you're bored and finicky.

=20

There are beveled edges on the original and new wood dash opening; I =
would make the piece match to where the bevel stops(starts).

=20

Whoa, OCD minutiae here...nice. ;-)
