Yes, CAT has the braided line available. There have been no quality issues=
with this product. Also, there is no need to buy a gauge to get a plastic=
pressure line, they are available as a standalone item from Summit.

I believe CAT does or did carry a braided gage oil line, I have not che=
cked lately. I don't know if there were any problems or workmanship issue=
s but they can happen.

When I was working on my gage oil line I happened to walk into a hydraulic =
shop for other reasons and I saw they had a spool of black plastic pressure=
tubing in the correct size so I bought a length. I forget the pressure ra=
ting now but it was substantial - I think it was 400 psi or more.

I had to heat the tubing in boiling water to get it onto the block fitting.=
The tubing has worked just fine for almost 40 years now.

I would think similar black tubing is still available but I don't know. An=
alternative would be to buy an oil gage and use the plastic tubing provide=
d.

I talked to Rick at SS last night. The Ballast resistor is in his catalog =
but he no longer carries it. So I ordered the NPD T-Bird part.

Also, he no longer carries the steel braid oil gauge line, citing a bad exp=
erience with one that leaked, an apparent workmanship issue. Didn't CAT ha=
ve one? Same part? Same problem?
