I believe Jim is asking how to get the subassembly apart.
=20
I'm looking at Section K pg 15. I don't have this part in front of me =
so
this is a bit difficult.
=20
1st check all the instructions on pgs 15 &16 and any with the rebuild =
kit.
=20
Part #4 has a key type opening - pull the spring down and move part #8 =
into
the key opening to release
=20
Part #4 has a spring clip part to it that has to be pulled up to release
from part #3
=20
I think that will do it but like I stated I don't have this assembly in
front of me so I can only hope it helps.
=20
Don't loose any parts - keep everything clean.
=20
Cylinder bore is polished like a mirror not honed out rough.

Subject: [Tigers] Tiger brake master rebuild question

Hello,
=20
I need to rebuild a Tiger brake master and replace the seals with the =
kit
from SS.
=20
Here is the question: the "piston and spring subassembly" is out of the =
cast
aluminum brake master body, and is sitting on the desk in front of me.
(Section K, Pg. 15 of shop manual has picture of this subassembly)
=20
But I can't for the life of me figure out how to break this subassembly =
down
so I can put new seals in it.
=20
Someone must know.........=20
