Mark,

Looking at it from easiest to hardest, maybe (not likely) the slave cyl or
clutch master cyl. is hanging. Maybe the throwout bearing is hanging on the
transmission input shaft sleeve (which means the engine will have to come
out. (Do not try to remove the transmission with the engine in the car.)
You don't mention how long the engine is running before the problem shows
up. I'm assuming when the clutch pedal hangs the car is still in gear..
that is you could drive it forward (or back, depending...).

How long has it been since the clutch cylinders were rebuilt? If it's been
a while you might try them first as part of routine maintenance...

As always, work safely. and if you're working under the car make sure the
jack stands are on the frame, not the rear end...
