Just for kicks and grins I removed the thermostat from our TR4 yesterday, blocked the bypass, and took it for a spin. Ambient temp was 92 deg F, 89% relative humidity, car ran below 140 deg F at highway speed, crept up to about 160 deg F in traffic. Car has early TR4 radiator with crank hole and six-bladed metal Triumph fan. Just a data point. Bruce Clough Garage full of LBCs |
