OD - A-Type - Tough Question on Sun Gear

I like to think of my new used tranny with OD unit as a "7-Speed".

'63 TR4 since '74 .. OD since '98 - but still on the shop floor.

I would describe it has a hydraulic grandfathers clock.  Elegant,
but a lot of overkill for a 5th gear.<<
