The Buckle Busters play
avant-garde music for archaic times. The rough-and-ready singing of
Salt Lake's finest old-time string band will make you wonder what you
ever saw in Eminem. And when you hear their high, lonesome stylings on
fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin and accordion, you'll want to trade
your subwoofers for a hand-cranked 78 rpm Victrola.
It's pure American roots music from the hollers of Appalachia, the
battlefields of the Civil War, the cattle drives and homesteads of
the Old West, and the migration across the Great Plains in search of
gold and freedom. At the same time, it's the music of a
nightmarish, post-apocalyptic future -- a coming era when all the
electricity will be used up, gravity will reverse poles, the dinosaurs
will return to earth in flying saucers, and folks will change gender as
often as they change their underwear.*
With their crystal-powered acoustic instruments, The Buckle Busters
will soon
seize their rightful place in history as the One Band True and Mighty.

time itself, visit, check out the selections below.
