It has been a couple of months now since I saw this posted somewhere, finally getting around to commenting.
To me this is no surprise. The Tea Party patsies are doing exactly what the ruling class wants - they are anti-government, anti-labor, anti-environment. If government regulations force a company like Koch Industries, for example, to provide a safe and healthy workplace, a livable wage with decent benefits and require cleaning up after themselves to keep the planet suitable for human habitation, that costs money that Koch would rather not spend on such nonsense. Tea Party folks are more than happy to support such an agenda. The ruling class is all about redistribution of wealth - taking as much as they can from the working class to enrich themselves. The Tea Party supports such behavior, government BY the dollar FOR the dollar, profits over people. They have no problem with living out their lives as economic serfs to the ruling class. Same as it ever was, business as usual.
The Occupy folks, though, are a serious threat to the ruling class. Unlike the Tea Party, they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and believe that greed, selfishness and arrogance are sins to be despised, not ideals to follow. Government of the people BY the people FOR the people is a concept that is very threatening to the ruling class. They will use their hired guns to squelch such notions, whatever the costs. And by "hired guns" i mean not only law enforcement agencies but the politicians they have purchased on both the national and local level.
Liberty and justice for ALL - yeah, right.
