Hi guys,
I was down at my local TR specialists today, TR Bitz, to get a second hand
bonnet hinge. I managed to get one for my car with no wear in the hinge.
However there were two types available, the first and what I thought was the
only type, where the hinge is formed from a simple pressing and has another
strap welded to it which picks up on an additional fixing on the underside
of the bonnet. The second type aavailable has the channel totally filled
and the strap is not welded but bolted to the hinge. Does anyone know which
models should have the second type that I have described. All of the parts
books that I have only list the one pair of part numbers. I did have a look
at a couple of US spec cars at TR Bitz, a CC car and a CF25000 series and
both had the pressed channel type without infill.
