Chris---Years ago I heard a rattle coming from the trunk area. The hinge
pin had fallen out and the cap was sitting there wobbling around. I
fashioned a new pin out of a stick of cold roll steel stock cut to
length, and flared the ends so it wouldn't come out. Use a bent nail, if
necessary, till you can get something better.
