Kerry,

Funny that you should bring up the subject of rewiring at this time. Just
last Monday, I sent the British V8 Newsletter ( I am now the editor of that
publication) to the printer, with a 7 page "how-to" article that I wrote on
replacing the wiring in an LBC with a custom made wiring system, using a
generic home-made wiring panel with 6 relays, 2 flashers, and 8 fuses. Cost
of this panel is comparable to a new wiring harness if you replace ALL of
your wiring, and a lot less if you retain much of your stock wiring,
replacing just the fuse box and core wiring. This wiring system is, however,
an order of magnitude better than the stock setup. It utilizes readily
available British wiring, so you retain the "proper" color coding to simplify
troubleshooting should the need arise later.

About two weeks ago, I installed one of these in a friend's TR3, to his great
satisfaction, and I sent another one to a friend in Illinois for his TR3, and
we will be installing it just before the Champagne British car show. Building
the panel is a good evening or two job, and installing it is a good weekend
project. Double that if you are a real beginner.

If you think there is enough interest, I'd be happy to revise the article to
make it more TR250/TR6 specific, and you can publish it in the 6Pack
magazine. Any interest on the 6Pack list? E-mail me, anyone that's
interested, and I'll send a couple of photos of the setup to you off list.
