There aren't any "High Volume" pumps as such. (That I'm aware of)
Buy a New pump and check it's tolerances. Not close enough? Send it back!
Get another. The modifications you can try are in the pick up area. I have
taken off the long screen pick up end and brazed on a Chevy pancake pick up
to the end.
You can also look at raising the pressure once the oil temp is hot
by... The relief spring...(1) Stack a few small washers behind the
spring...as needed.. (2) Get on the list at TRF for an up grade kit (3)
This is tricky...Make an adjustable relief spring by boring out the end of
the relief spring "nut" for a 7/16 bolt. Bore out the end of the bolt to
clear the shaft of the relief valve rod. This will allow you to adjust the
pressure on the spring as you chose. I might have an extra if you would
like.
If you fell that you need a more controlled oiling system consider
a Dry Sump System. Pump, reservoir, pulleys, oil pan, ALL the hardwear and
the engine mods.....$3 K easy. Now you know were next years racing budget is
going.
Bottom line... Get a GOOD... NEW... pump.
