To the original poster of this thread, one thing I recall reading in a post
from a few years ago was that the pass side mirror should be mounted in a
different position than the driver side mirror, otherwise you can't adjust
it so the driver can see properly. I don't recall the details of the
different position, but I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to figure out if
you had a helper to hold the mirror in a variety of locations prior to
drilling the holes. Definitely worth while to measure twice drill once here
IMO. Unless you just want the symmetrical look without the function...
