Michael,

I'm not sure from your post if you have a consistent misfire - if your car
starts on 5 (or 4 cylinders) and then smooths out (gets all 6 going) at
about 2,000 revs. and seems to stay that way until you stop and restart,
then I'd suspect that you have air in the injection system.  If you've
recently had the injectors or metering unit out, or disconnected the fuel
line then in all probability you have air in the system.  Simple to correct,
but time consuming and "messy"!  Let me know if you think this may be the
problem and I'll quickly describe what you need to do...
