DW,

I will send you the disc I have, I didn't have any luck getting the
files to come up, maybe you will. I talked to the engineer Thursday
about getting another copy made from the machinist's computer.

Hope the counseling goes well. I think we all know that racecars can be
a strain on a marriage!

Have fun at GM. I got into it with a union guy last week for driving my
TR6 to work, I just told him "hey I had to drive something dependable".
He didn't know what to say to that.

Mike

Subject: TR6 Breaks

Mike
Hope things are going well for you . I'm working today so
I
thought I'd drop you a line. I've seen the thread on your breaks and
thought I'd chime in. I haven't been able to post a message with the
list for some reason and plan to contact both lists to find out why.
You
can cut and past or forward some of this to the 6-pack list for me if
you
want to.
Your rear set-up is great. I would still like a copy of the
prints.
Not to start making any !!!!!!!!!! But I plan on making a rear
carrier
for the hub/axle and your disk set. This will all go with the equal
length, upper and lower "A" arms Sam and I are designing. Sam is
almost
ready for final assembly. This is as close as anyone will ever come to
a
formula Ford rear suspension. I need your measurements to figure out
the
rear disk & caliper spacing.

I saw someone ask about the Jag. front set up. We use it because
it's the ONLY thing the SCCA let's us use. Sam has Wildwoods for the
front, with the Jag disks, that are a straight bolt on, but they can
only
be used on a GT2 car. No need in thinking about that class. Sam has
petitioned the comp. board a couple times and they refuse to allow
Wildwoods on our cars.

By the way... This you can post for me... That you found out .
I'm
selling my current SCCA E Prod car. As a roller for $10k with a
regional
running suspension or with a regional power train $15k. { regional
susp.
= no Corvair axles or your rear disks. no front Jag breaks. reg.
powertrain = Moss c/r trans the engine that was in your race car.}
The
bargaining factor is my axles and your breaks. The cost of replacing
wheels, tires, and our suspension is very near the asking price. What
ever cash I get is what I have to build the next generation TR6 for EP.
That's it.

Anyone that's ever raced knows that it is cheaper to buy a car
then
build one. The Minister of Finance ( aka ,The Small Mean One) is
always
telling me I could have paid off the house with what I have in this car.
When she found out what I have as a fair asking price she
flipped.....were
in counseling now!
I'll check this work mail again before I go home. Or you can just
use my home address.
                  David Wingett
