The list will go one, and on, and on Joe, and I wish I had a CD player
that played MP3's; that way I could download and make a really cool
driving "tape."

Which reminds me, "Driver's Seat" by Sniffin' the Tears.

Hmm, it just dawned on me that I need to gather a collection of CD's to
listen to on the trip up - my regards to all the purists. I found
myself gazing at the CD drawer with pleasure much like perusing the menu
at your favorite restaurant. So, here's what made the initial cut, and
I'd like to hear from others and their favorites. My musical taste is
eclectic, but so far a harder edge has dominated the voting for some
unknown reason. Here's the initial cut in no certain order:

1. Elvis - Volume Two of his top ten hits - you
have to have the King aboard
2. Rolling Stone - Let it Bleed
3. Little Village - little known album that's got the best of
John Hiatt & Ry Cooder
4. Led Zep II - been a while since I took this one in.
5. Iguanas - Nuevo Boogaloo - a nod to my time in the
Big Easy
6. S. R. Vaughan - Best of - he could play the guitar pretty
well.
7. Neil Young - Live Rust
8. White Animals - Ecstasy - a college band favorite
9. John Mellencamp-Lonesome Jubilee
10. Bobby Darin - he was cool
11. Jimmy Buffett - at least several of his albums, early stuff
12. to be continued.

See you there.

You need to include the following, for no driving collection is complete
without:

1. Theme from Route 66 (the tv show)
2. Radar Love
3. Steppenwolf's Greatest Hits
4. Mitch Rider and the Detroit Wheels Greatest Hits

I'm sure I'll think of others as soon as I hit the "SEND" button!

Joe
