I have converted my 6 to Nissan 300 axels. Cheaper than the Corvair
alternative. Bought new, beefier half shafts. Do not know what diff you
are using. If it is the later one [Good parts conversion], then you should
know it comes stock with a 5 bolt pattern, and Richard sells an adapter to
the 4 bolts required for our u-joints as part of the kit. I opted to use
1881-83 axels, they still use u-joints and half shafts like the TR. You
could go direct to CV joints, as this is what the later Nissan diff uses, I
should have done that. There is a source of adapters from the CV to the
u-joint for earlier Nissan axels. I am having more adapters for the inner
bearing of the Nissan axel fabricated as we speak. You might consider this
alternative. I have attached a couple of pictures.

Parts and their sources:

My work done by: Front Line Drive Lines -- Attn: Jim

      4000 S Federal Blvd Suite B

      Englewood, CO 80110 303-783-9954

I got 50% off list on the items except special u-joint

Spicer parts:

TR 6 u-joint Spicer 5-153X
List $19.78

Flange for TR6 u-joint 2-2-329
$43.95

Slip Yoke [Outer "female" half shaft] 2-3-128KX
$75.42

Yoke Shaft [inner half shaft "male" 2-82-58X
$231.60

Special u-joint Nissan to 1310 Spicer PN3151-15 U-Joint
$33.26

Supplier: Power Train Industries - California 1-800-798-4585 for special
u-joint Do not know if it is Spicer brand [believe it is] This supplier
may have provided all the items to Front Line

Sealed bearings is SKF GRW125 [not sure of price, got from Parts America,
i.e Kragen/Shucks/Checker]

You really only need the fabricated bearing carrier, special u-joint and the
bearing if you want to stay with the TR half shafts. I got new TR flange
and u-joint more by mistake than on request.

Anyone on 6-pack who wants pictures can email me.
