Adam,

As you stated...lots of TR6s out there with lots of frames that aren't so
good, but they are restorable. There are actually shops out there that
specialize in TRiumph TR frames. Pretty sure they can be brought back to
life at a cost lower than that of coming up with tooling to make replacement
frames, but I suppose if you wanna spend some money...there are a few places
here as well as over the pond that can build you something. Again...only
money.

As far as other vendors...plenty of 'em to choose others than what you
mentioned.

Big 3 are Roadster Factory, Moss, & Vicky Brit. There are plenty of other
smaller vendors that can, often, beat the big three price. There are also
vendors that specialize in performance products for these LBCs.

Stick around...you'll see them talked about on this list.

p.s. I belive you had an Overdrive/PI badge on your car...I noticed the "U"
at the end of your commission number. Did your '73 come with an O/D? They
would typically end in "UO".

Subject: Frame Question
Date: Mon, 22 Mar 2004 22:21:10 -0500

I was looking through my parts catalogs and started wondering why no one
makes the frame for the TR6? I'm just a keyboard banger, but it seems like
it could be done... maybe for a couple thousand dollars? I've seen the MGB
bodies for sale... why not TR6 frames? From what I hear, a lot of TR6's go
to waste because of frame rust... and that's sad! I personally would like
to preserve my car as long as possible... and I would really hate to see
these cars waste away! Is it not easier to make a frame than an entire
body? Now what would be nice is if you could buy the body, frame, engine
block and all that from Moss or Victoria British or whoever else (is there
anyone else???)

I would love to hear people's ideas, opinions or answers!
