Adam,
I would recommend POR15 for the chassis and any other part of the TR6 to
prevent rust. I am restoring mine and I sandblasted the entire chassis and
coated with two coats of POR15 then topcoated with thier Chassis Black. The
product can be used right over rust, but I prefered to use it on bare metal
when possible.
I am also coating the entire tub and the insid of the fenders with POR15 and
their primer.
