        Carl:

These plugs can show some advantages under certain extreme
conditions (easier
cold starting for example, or longer plug life). They will not deliver a
measurable
improvement in power, mileage or emissions despite the manufacturer's
claims.
Remember that the spark will normally jump to only one of the
electrodes
at a time. In the case of the 4 electrode, the wear is distributed
across 4 electrodes
and so the gap widens at 1/4 the normal rate. If you have an engine that
wears out
its plugs abnormally fast, then this can keep you from changing plugs as
often.
Some designs are more resistant to fouling, some can be fired
with a lower
voltage. None of them will deliver more power. Some of the new cars use
more exotic
plugs so they can go 100,000 miles between tune-ups, and this is the
sort of
advantage these plugs can offer.
If you have a specific problem related to the plugs then one of
the exotic
designs may be of some benefit. Otherwise, buy a set of Champions and
save yourself
some money.

Does anyone have experience with the "V" (2 prong) spark plugs or the 4
prong spark plugs? Does anyone recommend either?
