        Bob:

        Your symptoms are non-specific, so the answer will be
non-specific as well.

        I am assuming that you have already done some sort of tune up;
Checked your ignition timing, gapped your plugs, new points and
condenser, set the valve lash, etc.

Things to check:
        Inspect your carburetor diaphragms - stretch them slightly and
look for pinholes or tears.
        Top off your dashpots with oil.

        These last two items are some of the more frequent causes of
poor acceleration.

        Cheers,

        Vance

        P.S. Perhaps you should not be taking my advice - I am chasing
an intermittent low speed miss with little success so far. My lack of
skill in this matter probably disqualifies me from offering tune up
advice =:-o

Dear List
My TR6 is running quite poorly! If the stuttering during acceleration,
what
should I look at to smooth out the bugs? Thanks in advance for your
insight.
