Try taking it to a place that does trophies.  They will have an 
engraving machine that should be able to take care of the task.  If the 
first place you try cant help you call another place.  You should be 
able to find someplace fairly easily.  Also, bring your old plate along 
for reference.

My original TR6 commission number plate is trashed, so I've obtained a 
new one.
Can anyone suggest an easy way to get the info stamped? Years ago, I 
did this
for my TR250 and had it engraved by a jewelry shop, but it didn't come 
well...too "fine".
