Sounds like something got fried...

I'd check the fuses and make sure you replace them all with fresh ones...

  Installed high torq starter, made elec connections noticed WR Ign wire
insulation was a bit bare. I  turn key on and heard heard a pop noise,
turned key off disconnected battery. Checked to see if any problems were
visible, replaced WR (white & red wire)
  connected battery. I have no power now helpful info requested.
