I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Top Tier gasoline standard
for retail gasoline. I suspect many of you are. For the rest who are not, this
is a standard established by BMW, Toyota, GM, and Honda that specifies
standards for fuel quality. This applies not only to purity, but the quantity
and quality of additives as well. These have a lot of impact on the build up of
deposits on valves, in injectors, and other parts of the fuel system. Here's
