Here's something you can really enjoy! It costs nothing and you can download
it from Google as Google Earth if you've not already done so.
SEEING WHERE YOUR TRIUMPH FIRST WENT RUSTY
Having got Google Earth loaded in your computer, go to the 'Fly to' box and
type in Weston sub Edge, UK. After arriving at Weston (it helps if you tell
Google Earth to show all the street names) look slightly north-west for a
piece of land bounded by WESTON ROAD, GLOSTER ADES ROAD and HONEYBOURNE
ROAD.
Look in the middle of that piece of land where the outlines of a triple
runway layout are still visible - and that is Honeybourne Airfield where
Triumphs were stored by their tens of thousands prior to export shipment and
despatch within the UK. The area often flooded (because the airfield drains
got blocked) and that is where the rust on the underside of your car

SEEING WHERE YOUR TRIUMPH WAS MADE
To be specific, the data following will take you straight to The Standard
Triumph Memorial on the former factory site. I haven't yet got to grips with
Goggle Earth to plug in a simple latitude and longitude, so if you want to
play around with a mouse watching the data on the bottom of the screen, this
should while away a few idle minutes. Go to 52 deg 24'10.4" North and 1 deg
33' 05.34 West and you'll hit the memorial on the button. Zoom up to about
4000 feet, and the whole of the factory site sits before you bounded by
Fletchampstead Highway on the west, Tile Hill lane to the north and the
railway track to the south. For the record, all the buildings now on view
are NOT those when the place made cars. They've all been built since then.
