I believe that the magic number you are looking for is 21.2 MPH per 1000  rpm 
in fourth gear.  
Your numbers are close.  You should be going 72 MPH at 3400 but 2 MPH  
variation in a speedo is no big deal, but then the tire size you are using will 
 
affect all these numbers.  R185 (original) or 205/70 15 is real  close.
