[6pack] Oil Cooler

I plan on installing a spin on oil filter adapter and an oil cooler. Now, I 
have the adapter, but I was planning on using a cooler off a Volvo 
transmission. A friend tells me to check if it can hold the oil pressure. 
  Any suggestions? Am I thinking stupid here on using a cooler made for a Volvo 
transmission?
