Remanufactured parts for Rootes Group Cars
We are very proud to announce the re-availability of original steering
components for the range of Rootes group cars 1955-1967. We have
currently available:

1.. Top and bottom bushes for the front suspension bars (upper- and
lower fulcrum bushes) for the Sunbeam Alpine, Tiger and lots of Humber
and Hillman models ( 63-67). These metal bonded rubberbushes are made to
original Rootes specifications, NOT Polyurethane replacements! These are
not acceptable as replacements/alternatives in our suspension setup and
design.
2.. Relay Lever pins for the Commer PB and PA
3.. The relay lever fulcrum pin for the more popular models of Rootes
made from the 50's to 70's
4.. High quality pedal pads in original design, look feel and fit
Up until now there was never a problem in locating the parts needed. In
the past couple of years, it seemed the availability became more
difficult. Some sources dried up, others changed into other car makes.

Although more specialists came into the market, it became obvious that
in the less popular cars and/or models the quality and/or the
availability of parts becomes a problem. Last summer we were confronted
with our biggest fear: it seemed impossible to get new fulcrumpins for
the steering of a 1973 Commer/Dodge PB.

As these are highly critical parts in a car and MOT failure would be
imminent, we were looking at a situation where grounding cars, which
were basically good, was the only solution.Putting in new bushes with
old worn pins would not take away the problem. Remanufacturing was not
easy as these pins needed to be hardened and finished to a very high
standard to provide good service for the years ahead.

We adopted the reproduction of these parts now and we are very proud to
announce that we found a supplier who is willing to produce these items
in small numbers. This company is a mayor car parts manufacturer, and
supplies to Chrysler, Mercedes, Volvo and Daf amongst others. With these
Relay Lever pins for the Commer PB and PA Models I think we can help the
people caring for their cars, either as vans, or more often campers. The
other fulcrum pin that was re-manufactured is the relay lever fulcrum
pin for the more popular models of Rootes made from the 50's to 70's.

For all these cars we have currently high quality pedal pads on offer
with the original look feel and fit!

As distribution to the customers could form a major problem, we are
looking into setting up a worldwide distributor network for quality
reproduction parts. This in order to avoid loss of investment money and
address to quality in repro parts. Please let me know if you are
interested.

Sincerely,

Arnoud Malherbe,
