But Ray, the Celicas and Mazdas (and their drivers) in HS, which have 
caused the adjustment in PAX, have been there since '93 or '94!  
This isn't a case of the hot car being an annual variant, but of one 
where the drivers stuck with their cars through all these years and
have improved their skills... I'd say that changing cars after 5 years
of use is pretty common outside of the Solo arena.

HS has been a stable class in the past 5 years, despite many new
models coming out.  Same with the current BS (Miata), DS (Neon),
& ES (Neon & Celica).  What's improved in this time are the skills 
of the drivers in those classes and they've managed to prove that 
there's more in the cars than was previously believed.

Which means that annual revisions to PAX are exactly correct.
