Mr. Sharp,

Read your comment concerning the ESP bitch session and had an even worse
taste in my mouth. I don't have either car and don't run in the class
unless someone asks me to drive their car. Free, and "turbos can be updated
and backdated but not added." would be more consistent with other rules
(rear sway bar, is a quick example). I have always felt that the SCCA is a
"good old boy club" and this is a Pony car clique not wanting someone
breaking up their party. You guys went along with the established clique.
If you read the cross bitching without a bias, it's easy to see that the old
members are keeping the new guys from winning EVER. What DSM car has ever
won first at Nationals?

I look at the list of class winners in the back of the rule book and can't
imagine anyone that just wants to win not buying the dominant car in any
given class, because if you do win with something else you'll be protested
(gee CSP comes to mind) or ruled out of competition (unless you happen to be
an aknowledged winner that just happened to change class and develop a car
that one of the other "winners" had overlooked). It's the Jim Hall Law
(sort of like Murphy's).

James Rogerson
Houston.
