but several of my customers are extremely happy with the wet performance
of the 711...
DO NOT buy the Nitto. Every Nitto tire I have dismounted was cracking
around the center of the sidewall. I initially thought this was due to
underinflation but after 20 or so with the exact same cracks I decided
this can't be a coincidence.
That said, let me add a couple of flies to your ointment.
1) Bridgestone, while admittedly a seperate and clearly superior
product, nevertheless is produced by the most illegitimately managed tire
company in the world. Is that the kind of business you wish to support?
2) The Sumitomo HTRZ-Dunlop SP 8000...same tire, parent company and
private label, excellent performance wet or dry. The Toyo T1-S...also an
excellent wet tire, the favorite of our local Miata club.
