I run Stock, so I don't have a stake in this.

Just an observation - spec vendor isn't going to work either.  However 
TireRack "stamps" the tires, some crafty competitor will find a way to fake 
the stamp.

Since SpecTire seems too restrictive, how about spec mfg?  Still no incentive 
to cheat and probably enough tire variety to suit anyone's needs (preferences 
is certainly another matter though...)
