Actually, before SM was an official class (back when it was going to be
called STU), Dennis didn't originally want the Ponycars in. It took several
of us ponycar owners clamoring all over the SM list to get them included in
the initial SM rules draft. The basic argument was that if CSP Hondas,
Neons, and ESP Eclipses are in, what would they have to fear from Ponycars?
Of course, now that the M3 is an ESP car, they might have a little to fear,
but it's not that far off.
You complain about SM not bringing new people in, and when someone brings up
anything to say that it did, you complain about the way it was done.
WAAAHHHH!
God forbid that they actually WORK to try and make thier class succeed....
It wasn't like SM community said, 'gee, we don't have enough people, lets
let the ponycars in...' They were in before anyone had any idea how many
people would go to SM.
