I figure I'll make one last attempt to see if I can find an SS ride...Did I
mention
I am willing to pay a reasonable fee for the use of the car?

I'm not too surprised I haven't recieved any responce to this request
considering
most of you have no idea who I am, and those that have met me haven't seen me
enough to really remember me. Oh well, that will change with time.

This is my 3rd year of actively pursuing Solo II racing. My first year was
spent the usual
way, A couple of novice events and then I moved into SS. I did my 1st
divisional that
year and got a chance to see some national talent in action. Much of my 1st year
was spent learning the basics and figuring out how ro properly set up my car.
Last year
(my 2nd), my driving improved and I actually started to become competive in my
region.
I raced against Cal Craner on a regular basis (Yes, he's still faster...) and
sometimes
Jerry Hodge who is even faster still. Last year I attended my 1st Prosolo at
Wendover,
and even though I ended up 7th out of 8 guys, I thought I had done pretty good
considering
the talent in front of me were all capable of winning on the national level on
any given day.
I also attended my first national tour event in Bremerton last year, but my
vette was having
electrical problems so I borrowed my wifes '99 SS Camaro (bone stock), slapped
my vette
tires on it (both use Kuhmo 275/40R17's), changed my entry to ESP and came to
the race
anyway. There I managed to place 4th out of 11 guys, and considering it was my
1st time
autocrossing the car in a street prepared class I thought I did pretty good. At
our divisional
I ran ESP in the Camaro again and placed 2nd. Anyway, this is just to let you
know that I
actually have some experience and am not just a total rookie...

Of course, based on past results (San Diego and El Toro), perhaps only the
Z06's are
going to show up in SS, and I'm sure they will have plenty of available
drivers...

thanks again for listening
