In looking at some specs on Honda motors from 88-91 I noticed something
interesting. What it looks like to me is that the difference between the
1600 motor and the 1500 motor is the head. Bore is the same, stroke is
longer in the Si motor. Compression is lower in the Si motor, leading me
to think that maybe the combustion chamber is just taller. Does this make
sense, or am I mising something? Any specific knowledge of Hondas would
also be greatly appreciated in addition to any general knowledge. TIA!

Displacement
97 cu in./1590cc (Si, AWD Wagon)
91.1 cu in/1493cc (STD, DX, LX, Wagon)

Bore x Stroke
2.95 x 3.54 in./75.0 x 90.0 mm (Si)
2.95 x 3.33 in./75.0 x 84.5 mm (STD, DX, LX)

Compression Ratio
9.6:1 (88-89 CRX HF)
9.1:1 (Si)
9.2:1 (STD, DX, LX)
