Hey you can learn all about how to do sound control
from the SFR guys! They have it down cold!
1 You get a $5 swing needle meter from Radio Shack,
well actually you gotta get a $5 from a garage sale.
2 You give it to a washed out former codriver of a
Prepared car with a vendetta.
3 You instuct him to "get" 7 P and M cars per day.
You let him swing that silly meter wildly in the air
to accomplish his goal. You praise him in the monthly
newsletter for the number of folks he gets.
4 You give each P and M guy 2 shots before the clown a
year, then refuse to allow them any opportunity to see
if their changes have had an effect.
5 Viola! You got a clean, safe, propoer Stock class
club in no time. The site owners and neighbors can't
even tell you have been there.

Whoops, too much tire noise with those street tires,
better use the same thing to ban them and "develop" an
appreciation for those quiet Hoosier race rubber.

You can further wring your hands and wish for the good
ol days when your club brought back three times as
many national trophies and wonder how it all changed.

Oh, and nothing over 1000cc by Lotus will ever pass
your standards Phil. Sorry. The price od PC though.
Unless you make special procedures for the in crowd, I
mean make sure the clown knows when to put the d#$@
meter back down on the stand. That works too.

Be sure you really have a sound issue at your site
before you commit genocide on your club. And
understand what that issue really is. Slicks do not
squeal, if you eliminate all the slick tired cars you
may not have addressed the real issue. Maybe it is
just a crank with little real effect, make sure you
have done more for the community than just bothered
them on Sundays and you will be able to deal with the
local crank.

Laguna Seca has been taken over by this mntality. Most
amateur days now have a 90db limit. The beer trucks
going by on the hiway below the track have a 94db
limit fer g#$# sakes. That's over twice as loud. Their
tires make more than 90db! And they are not tested,
the cars on the track are. Every lap.
Beware.

Been there, done and seen it.
