I-74 is a hotbed of Illinois State Police activity. I'll agree that taking 74
is better than traveling around Chicagoland, but set the cruise at 70 and
leave it there.

One other suggestion I'd make...Rather than taking any highway through the
Chicago area, drop down to I-74 at Davenport, Iowa, and take it across
Illinois to Indianapolis. I hate driving in Chicago traffic.
