Just got a chance to download data from the Fort Myers Tour.
Top speeds for runs were as follows:
Sat #1 71.291 mph
Sat #2 67.908
Sat #3 66.202
Sun #1 69.807
Sun #2 72.957
Sun #3 74.506
(For you F500 folks, my top EGT readings were 1190 degrees. More
typical average was about 1150 degrees.)
For reference, other than a couple of F125 karts, I think my overall
times (FMod #196) were 2nd fastest, after the Porsche GT3.

Those top speeds look quite reasonable to me for a top placed Fmod car.

Some of these questions may not have answers, but I'm just wondering... What
about the possibility that the "offending" GT3 has simply been mis-classed? Is
it ok for an ASP car to hit 83 mph sometimes? How about some actual data from
other cars at the event? It's nice to work with facts rather than
conjecture...

All these opinions about speed creep over the years... but the small amount of
actual empirical data provided in the discussion seems to indicate otherwise.
Can anyone provide evidence that there is an overall problem (beyond isolated
incidences which are a different sort of problem) with speed creep in Solo2?
And if so, are there increased accident claims as well? What if there is
evidence to support that speeds have increased, but accidents have decreased?
