I know the last event of the season is on the 16th and you are all going
through withdrawals. But, here's something different to do on the 16th.
They have 30 cars signed up so far. It should be fun.

Hey, if you decide to show up, I can give you a ride in the silver beast
(Butch) during practice. With the wider wheels/tires in front, it should be
able to do 2:05 laps and hit 135MPH.

Time Trial, Sunday December 16th, 2001 at Thunderhill Raceway Park! The full
3 mile track will be used with no chicanes. Cars will be divided into groups
for the morning practice sessions. There will be passing rules that must be
obeyed during practice. During the timed portion of the event, drivers will
enter the course as directed by grid and pit personnel at intervals designed
to insure that no traffic is encountered during your runs. This Time Trial
event emphasis is on safety and fun! This will be a good opportunity to have
fun with the high performance side of your vehicle in a controlled
environment, the race track! Safety is emphasized throughout the event and
is the responsibility of all participants.

A ground school, mandatory for all drivers, will be held at the beginning of
the event. The ground school takes about an hour and covers all aspects of
this time trial, with a special emphasis on the driving rules that will be
used for this event.

The Time Trial format will only accommodate 4 cars being timed on track at
on time during the event. Each participant will be given a warm up,
non-timed lap prior to starting the timed lap, like Indy Qualifying.
Depending upon the number of participants, we will run as many timed laps as
we can. At a minimum, we will target 4 timed laps per participant, more if
time allows. No passengers will be allowed during the competition runs.
