I think that getting a lawyer who specializes in traffic cases would not
be a bad idea. Up here in Washington state we don't have the option of
traffic school or the concept of points so every traffic ticket dings
your insurance rates. I've used a lawyer on my last couple of traffic
tickets (2 and 6 years ago, both of which were pretty bogus) and easily
won each time. Cost me about $350 each but the money I saved in lower
insurance rates more than made up the difference.
