Tire blankets

I seem to remember some messages about a month or so ago regarding the use of
blankets to cover your tires between runs to try to retain their heat. I
unfortunately didn't save those messages. Can anyone tell me what people were
using at the San Diego National Tour event? I heard people were actually
buying them at the local hardware stores.
