try marking the tire at the valve stem. then you can tell if it really has 
moved.  
i had this problem with a 65 spitfire. the tires were sliding on the wheel 
since the tire pressure waws low and the tires were large for the wheel. when 
ever i had stood on the breaks real hard i would later notice a front end 
vibration.
